With a vision to celebrate the rich tapestry of Minnesota life and uplift the voices of its seasoned residents, this project invited participants to embark on a journey of self-expression and reminiscence. Memoir writing classes empowered a group of seniors to learn the art of memoir writing and create short written pieces about their lives in Minnesota which are now published in the book and recorded for this podcast. \n\nPodcast recording, editing, music and sound design by Barry Madore.\n\nA Nest in My Heart: Stories by Southeast Seniors features stories by Jane Baron, Jim Hasse, Suzanne Hatlestad, Patricia Lee-Woods, Roxanne Markoff, Toni Pendergrast, Sonny Schneiderhan, Karen Steele Sorensen, and Darla Wexler.
